SGNA Statement on COVID-19 (coronavirus)

SGNA has been closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus), including yesterday’s declaration by the World Health Organization(WHO) that the virus has reached pandemic levels, and the regularly updated guidance and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Please know that the organization’s top concern is the safety and well being of our members, speakers and event sponsors. We also appreciate and share your concerns about community and patient health. At this time, SGNA is proceeding as planned with the 47th Annual Course, in Louisville, KY. We will follow the guidance from the CDC (including event-specific recommendations) and local health authorities before, during and after the event so that we can handle any situations that arise and reduce risk to our event attendees and the Louisville community. We currently have a strong agenda and support from our vendor community, and memorable activities planned for attendees. Our members and supporters have demonstrated their excitement about the event through their continued event registrations and new contracts for exhibit hall space and sponsor opportunities. We are encouraged by the response to date. We will continue to monitor the situation in the coming weeks. We will alert you to any changes to our current plans if they should occur. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to SGNA Headquarters if you have any questions.
