Publication receives nominations for prestigious industry award for second consecutive year.

Phoenix, AZ – EndoPro Magazine was selected, for the second year in a row, as a finalist for the 2017 FOLIO: Eddie & Ozzie Awards. FOLIO: serves the entire magazine and online media industry, with segments for business to business, consumer, custom and association. This prestigious awards program recognizes the best of the best in magazine media editorial and design. A group of 300 judges narrowed the more than 2,800 entries into a pool of approximately 1,000 finalists competing for more than 150 awards.

EndoPro Magazine was nominated in the following categories:

B-to-B Full Issue—Healthcare/Medical/Nursing: EndoPro Magazine’s May/June 2017 issue

EndoPro’s May/June 2017 print issue covers topics of educational importance to nurses, technicians, doctors, and other healthcare professionals working in the field of endoscopy. In addition, this issue received distribution at the annual Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates Conference (SGNA) held in New Orleans in May.

B-to-B Single Article—Healthcare/Medical/Nursing: EndoPro Magazine: Protecting Scope Tips is Crucial to Patient Safety and Equipment Function (7 Toes Media).

This article, authored by Andy Eakins, DipM, MCIM, was the cover story for the March/April 2017 issue, reviews how to protect endoscope tips during the cleaning and sterilization process. Biofilm contamination of endoscopes is relatively common. Specifically, endoscope tips with damage and defects can harbor debris, which has been implicated in cross-contamination issues. Additionally, preventing damage to the bending section rubber and protecting the delicate lens optics as well as the internal CCD chips will do much in helping to reduce repair per procedure costs. Having your endoscopes in use for longer will also yield benefits in maintaining procedure lists as well as positively impact patient comfort.

The winners and honorable mentions will be recognized at a luncheon during The Folio: Show on October 11, 2017, in New York. A list of all finalists is available online.
